Brad and I got to do some camping this summer...the first time in more than 7 years.  We've been camping at Battle Creek Campground.  These photos are when we camped with Josh and Lucie in June.

Josh took Brad to a Dodgers game in June...his Father's Day gift to his dad.

Brad and I became great grandparents on June 15, 2012 when our step-granddaughter, Amanda, had her baby.
Halley graduated from Lassen High in Susanville on June 1st...
This was Tyeler and Paiges last year at Orland Schools.  Josh and Lucie found a house in Corning and moved out of our house in April.  They drove the girls to school here in Orland everyday so they could finish out the last few weeks in familiar surroundings. These are their Spring school photos.  The outdoor photo was taken at a lake near their mom's in Laytonville.
Derek tuned three in May..."make a wish!!"

Brad and Josh helped cook the lamb at this year's Willows Lamb Derby in May.

It's been a while since we've had any kids here to celebrate Easter.  This year Derek and Sammy were here to hunt eggs.  Jeff also took Derek to see the Easter Bunny.

In April, Josh, Lucie, Tyeler & Paige, Jeff, and Valerie participated in a community clean-up project at the Swift Adobe Monument.
Brad and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on January 21, 2012.
WHERE DID THE TIME GO!!!  We celebrated with dinner at The Berry Patch.
In January Brenda was celebrating the publishing of her first book.  Mom was able to attend her book signing in Sacramento.  We had something else to celebrate, too.  Mom had survived another bout with cancer.
In January this year, I got the chance to be the guest designer at Back Porch Memories.  These are the LO's I did using their monthly kit.

One of the things that excited us the most was Ryan's mission call.  He is now serving In the Colombia Bogata Mission.  He entered the MTC on Dec. 28, 2011.  Troy and the kids were here for Christmas Eve so we got to spend some time with him before he left.
Jeff and Kim separated in September and I really thought life would never get back to normal.  It was a really difficult time.  But at the same time I was counting my blessings and finding things to be grateful for.
Brad came across some really old photos of Orlands 4th Street and Walker Street...circa 1940s.  He also had a book about Orland from the Historical Society.  Jeff and I decided to drive around Orland and take some pictures of these same sites in 2011.  Here's what I did with those photos.
Here are some grandkid pages from 2011

Check it out...the price of gas (non-leaded) on 4/11/2011 was $4.11.
On Mother's Day 2011 I rode over to Nice with Brad to pick up Tyeler and Paige.  This was the first time in more than 2 years that I made that trip.  It was also the first time I saw the Elk that roam the Hills just before you get to Clear Lake Oaks.

Brad officially retired in January 2011 although his last day ot Manville was in October 2010.  These are some typical sights in the cold months.  LOL!!
